This page captures all those more fleeting love interests. In fact, most of the objects of the Ranger's affection appeared in one or two episodes, with a few having the luxury of a third appearance. Still, while these attractions were brief, they are worthy of note as they gave us valuable insight into the hearts of the Rangers involved. We were exposed to a facet of these characters we would not have seen: the vulnerable, awkward, daydreaming, normal side of these impossibly perfect and confident heroes.

Billy and Marge
Episode: "Peace, Love, and Woe"

Now this is a match made in heaven! For the record, this is the first of many women to be swept away by the Blue Ranger's nerdish charm. I find it odd that they were in the same Baby Genius program (or even that such a program could possibly exist), but I'll willing to make that allowance. We can safely assume Marge was Billy's first girlfriend ever, as he had absolutely no idea how to interact with her. Thankfully Marge took the initiative, and asked the shy genius to an upcoming dance. However, their blossoming romance was endangered as Madame Woe kidnapped Marge, thinking she was a Power Ranger. In the end, Billy saved the damsel in distress, and Marge gushed about the Blue Ranger to him at the dance. But while the Blue Ranger was so dashing and heroic, she could certainly appreciate Billy's sweet concern. When he revealed her lost necklace, she rewarded him with a kiss.

Trini and Richie
Episodes: "The Beetle Invasion," "Two For One"

When Kimberly first laid eyes on Tommy, Trini seemed to find amusement in her best friend's wide-eyed, dreamlike stare. Ironically, the same thing happened to Trini when she first saw Richie. Richie was another shy "new kid" who attended Angel Grove High and even worked at the Youth Center after school. What we experienced with Trini and Richie was very much reminiscent of the early stages of Kimberly and Tommy: shy smiles, lingering gazes, and awkward greetings. Richie even built up the courage to ask Trini on a study date. Too bad the episode Richie asked Trini out was also one of the last episodes before the tumultuous turnover that unexpectedly removed Trini, Zack, and Jason from the cast. So understandably, this thread was left hanging as Trini boarded a plane to Switzerland never to return.

Billy and Laura
Episodes: "Opposites Attract," "Goldar's Vice Versa"

Laura is the second young lady to fall for our favorite shy genius. But unlike Billy's first love, Laura was not his intellectual match. On the contrary, she didn't seem to have much in common with him at all. But nonetheless, Billy found himself captivated by Kimberly's friend. With a little encouragement from Trini, Billy found the nerve to speak to the Girl Scout leader, and as it turns out, science is her hobby! So she and Billy do have something in common, as her fascination with Billy's latest gadget would attest. Apparently their first date went well, as Laura asked him to the subsequent Sadie Hawkin's dance. That puts Laura in the special position of being a Two-Shot romantic interest.

Billy and Tamara
Episode: "A Monster of Global Proportions"

Heartbreaker Billy strikes again! This time, the target of his affection is Tamara, a beautiful Israeli delegate of the Youth Summit that would soon recruit half the Power Team. Tamara and Billy shared a somewhat secluded picnic before Lord Zedd decided to capture the foreign delegates. And of course this relationship was severely restricted, as Tamara soon returned to the Peace Conference, but this fleeting attraction is indeed part of the scarce Ranger Romance history.

Adam and "Sabrina"
Episode: "Goldar's Vice Versa"

Poor Adam. He was completely distressed that no one had asked him to the Sadie Hawkin's dance. When he tried to ask out Sarah Diaz, for some peculiar reason he was intercepted by Lord Zedd's Putty Patrol! Now, why would the Putties attack for no reason? Could the Emperor have other plans in mind for Adam's romantic life? Not long after giving up on Sarah, Adam encountered the magnificent Sabrina. She was busy performing an impressive martial arts routine, and she quickly drew Adam's attention. She seemed quite interested in him also; a little too interested for Aisha's tastes. As it turned out, Sabrina was actually Scorpina in disguise! I for one was thrilled to see the glorious gilded villainess again. While Adam was very clearly taken with Sabrina, I think it's safe to assume she wasn't too fond of Adam. She did try to kill him.

Adam and Sarah
Episode: "Goldar's Vice Versa"

I would think that Adam would prefer a Sadie Hawkin's dance to a regular one. That really takes a lot of pressure off the guy, and from what I gather Adam seems to be the shy-but-adorable guy who breaks hearts wherever he goes, but hasn't got a clue how to talk to girls. But there is one problem about Sadie Hawkin's dances... what if no one asks you? That was Adam's plight, for everyone else seemed to have a date. So, Aisha came to the rescue. She tried her best to get him to spend some time with Sarah Diaz, of whom he was quite fond. And she had heard on the grapevine that Sarah liked Adam in return. While Sarah never actually asked Adam out, she did meet him at the dance, both without a date. She was counting on seeing him there. Seems that Aisha was right about Sarah after all.

Adam and Marissa
Episode: "Return of the Green Ranger"

While I typically root for a happy ending, there is a dramatic elegance to a romance that's doomed from the beginning. This is what develops between Adam and Marissa, a kind young woman the Rangers encounter in colonial Angel Grove. While the other onlookers accused the Rangers of witchcraft, Marissa led them to safety. Adam quickly fell for the fair lady, even inviting her to return to the twentieth century with him. Yet Marissa could not abandon her world, just as he could not abandon his.

Billy and Violet
Episode: "Blue Ranger Gone Bad"

This time, Billy is not trying to flirt with a young lady that catches his eye. Instead, she's very directly chasing him. But something his holding Billy back. Even though he's interested in her, and even though he has indisputable evidence that she would welcome an invitation from him, he's too nervous to ask her out. Unfortunately, some cruel words from Billy's clone really hurt Violet, but Billy did apologize in the end, and she forgave him. He was really impressed by how understanding she was, and so he finally asked her out. Big surprise... she agreed!

Tanya and Shawn
Episodes: "A Shooting Star," "Rangers in the Outfield," "Game of Honor"

Shortly after her move to Angel Grove, Tanya began to date the school's most beloved (and arrogant) athlete: Shawn. He's handsome, charismatic, athletic, and charming... and his need for a tutor gave Tanya the opportunity to get to know him. However, he had two fatal flaws: conceit and dishonesty. In the end, despite giving him a chance to shape up, Tanya found she couldn't maintain a relationship with someone so selfish. His failure to support her desire to join the baseball team, coupled with his earlier attempt to cheat on an exam, made it clear to the Yellow Ranger that she had to find love elsewhere. The last time we saw Shawn, he was dating Veronica, whom we remember as the snobbish president of the Angel Grove Club, which spurned Aisha because her family wasn't rich. But on a high note, he at least learned his lesson about cheating in "Game of Honor," when he decided to fight Adam fair and square instead of pressing his advantage with an invisibility token he found.

Rocky and Jennifer
Episode: "Target Rangers"

Jennifer was the first of Rocky's two love interests on Power Rangers Zeo. In this case, Rocky fell for his intelligent but obnoxious partner in his computer course. Together, they developed a computer program, which was later stolen by the Machine Empire for their twisted use. At first, Rocky denied having any interest in Jennifer, labeling her as "impossible," but Adam noted that, to paraphrase Hamlet, the lad dost protest too much. In the end, Rocky did ask Jennifer out that Friday night. She was flabbergasted by Rocky's approach, and exploded at him. Rocky was shocked by her strong reaction, and asked her why she was so high-strung. Jennifer apologized for how she'd been treating him, explaining that she was working extremely hard in school so she could get a scholarship to college. So, she turned him down, claiming that she was busy Friday night. But don't feel bad for the Blue Ranger: it didn't take him long to find another interesting young woman...

Tommy and Heather
Episode: "There's No Business Like Snow Business"

This may be the most notorious romance in Power Rangers history. Mere hours after the woman he loved broke his heart by revealing she loved someone else, Tommy met Heather Thompson, a beautiful, athletic, assertive young woman that on the surface was a lot like Kimberly. Needless to say, Tommy was totally on the rebound, and he reacted naturally to an attractive woman who shows interest. But I can't help but wonder... was there any hope for this couple? I personally think this relationship was doomed to failure. There was just too much standing between the impatient athlete and the leader of the Power Rangers. Still, it did cement Tommy as "Ranger Most Often Dumped." Two women in three episodes? That's gotta be a record!

Rocky and Penny
Episode: "Trust in Me"

I must say one thing about Rocky DeSantos: he is always up for a challenge! Unlike Billy, Tommy, or Adam, who always hesitate until the girl makes it blatantly obvious that she's interested, Rocky targets the ladies that don't seem to want anything to do with him. Not long after his encounter with Jennifer, Rocky met the intriguing Penny... a talented martial artist who could anticipate the attacks of her opponents based solely on feeling and hearing their motion. To the Rangers' surprise, Penny was actually blind. Rocky was amazed by this, and was instantly interested in getting to know the young woman. However, it would be tough to reach her, for Penny made it quite clear that she didn't want anyone's sympathy nor help. Just because she was blind, didn't make her less of a human being. Rocky got the point, but insisted that he wasn't trying to help her, he was trying to get to know her. And so, the initial barriers dropped, and Penny and Rocky seemed to hit it off rather nicely by the end.

Bulk and Connie
Episode: "Bulk Fiction"

I know Bulk isn't a Ranger, but since he's the only character to appear for six consecutive seasons, his sole love interest definitely deserves to be remembered. Lieutenant Stone introduced his bumbling duo to cadet Connie Crandall, a rookie on the Junior Police Patrol and the captain's daughter. Bulk was instantly smitten by the young woman, and Skull encouraged him to ask her to an upcoming dance. But Bulk hesitated, convinced she'd never be attracted to a guy like him. He got some insight into what women want from Tanya and Kat, and proceeded to become "cultured" and "sensitive" to woo Connie. Not surprisingly, his elaborate costumes and over the top performances only frustrated Connie, and outraged Captain Crandall so much that he fired Lt. Stone. In the end, it was Connie who sought out Bulk at the dance. Bulk almost slipped into one of his more sophisticated personas, but instead he decided to just be himself, and the two tango'ed onto the dance floor.

Skull and the Supermodel
Episode: "Scent of a Weasel"

I had a hard time categorizing this pair, since there wasn't any overt attraction on either side. Still, this episode gave Skull a chance to shine, which is a rare thing on any incarnation of "Power Rangers." Skull was assigned to bodyguard a beautiful supermodel, who was visiting Angel Grove to participate in a charity fashion show. In a typical example of Skull's physical comedy, he managed to knock over an enormous bottle of perfume, dousing the model with it's noxious scent. But what makes this special is how Skull responded to his buffoonery. Rather than merely giggle and shrug, or even run away, Skull stayed by the model's side even when everyone else was chased away by the odor. While she sat despondently, he kept her company, his goofish charm urging a smile on her face. And he also figured out the remedy for the odor: tomato juice. So, it's safe to say that nothing happened between this pair, but in the very least Skull earned the supermodel's trust, respect, friendship... and even a peck on the cheek.

Kai and Hannah
Episode: "The Blue Crush"

Ah, the joy of a crush. And to think, uptight Kai was the target of Cupid's arrow! Kai was selected by Commander Stanton to take his daughter Jody roller-skating. So he stumbled around on the rink, videotaping Jody until he saw Hannah. And then, all the signs of a Power Rangers crush appeared: smiling, sighing, distraction, stumbling over his own feet, loss of appetite... everything. But then, he learned that she was attending a wedding. Thinking she was engaged, he fell into a deep depression, even refusing to get out of bed. Fortunately, he found out that Hannah wasn't married. She was only a bridesmaid. I really wish Hannah appeared on further episodes. It would've been a terrific opportunity for Kai to really develop more of a personality.

Leo and Ginger
Episode: "A Red Romance"

I hate to say it, but I really wish this episode never happened. I understand that Valerie Vernon's illness made a relationship between Leo and Kendrix impossible, but come on! She was still the Pink Ranger when Leo decided to pursue Ginger. Oh well... anyway, Leo liked Ginger from the start, after catching her from a completely impossible fall from a bicycle. However, her over-protective brother Colby stepped in the way. Then Ginger was kidnapped by the evil Maronda with Leo present, bringing Colby to accuse Leo of cowardice. It all ended well enough, with Ginger's brother apologizing to Leo for behaving so poorly.

Chad and Marina
Episodes: "Ocean Blue," "Neptune's Daughter"

What is it with Blue Rangers and fish? First Billy falls in love with the Aquitian Cestria, and then Chad is smitten by the exotic mermaid princess Marina. Well, at least Chad happens to be into aquatic sports, unlike a certain hydrophobic genius. But anyway... Marina spies Chad scuba-diving, and swims to his rescue. The naive princess is used by Vypra to try and destroy Chad, and then she decides that they're too different for a relationship. Chad is despondent by Marina's departure, but meets her soon after, when King Neptune's trident is stolen by Diabolico. Chad even gets to see Marina in her human form, but unfortunately, mermaids can only exist on land for a short while. They part ways once again, but Chad points out that they can still spend time together... in the water.

Danny and Kendall
Episodes: "Never Give Up," "Three's a Crowd"

To be perfectly honest, Danny's feelings for Kendall go beyond a casual romance. However, despite Danny's devotion, they never actually got anywhere, so I'll categorize this pair here. Kendall was Danny's ideal woman, and he's loved her for years. Every time Kendall strolled passed, the Black Bison Ranger fell into helpless idiocy. Unfortunately, despite the strength of Danny's feelings, it wasn't meant to be. His life as a Power Ranger made it impossible for him to give Kendall the attention she deserved. Still, I can't understand why he didn't go after her once Master Org and the Org Heart were finally destroyed. It would have made more sense than embarking on a world tour with Max. I guess he gave up after all...

Conner and Krista
Episodes: "The Passion of Conner," "Thunder Struck II"

Conner has been claiming all season to be so skilled with the ladies, but when he finally decides to demonstrate his talent, he aims far too high. The object of his affection is Krista, a young woman on a mission: to preserve nature at any cost. Conner realizes all too soon that he's out of his depth while pursuing Krista, whose passion for an ancient tree baffles him, giving him a surprising complex. His own lack of real drive brought him to question his ability as the Red Ranger. But, thanks to Tommy's advice, Conner found something to be passionate about: saving Krista, whom Zeltrax took as a hostage. Krista and Conner really couldn't have less in common, but her conviction did inspire our shallow jock to look deep into himself to discover what he really cares about.
