What a pair these two make! At first I had written off these two as a co-ed Bulk and Skull, and didn't put much thought into Devin's feelings, even though he very obviously dotes on Princess Cassidy. What made me see potential in this pair is the episode "Leader of the Whack," in which a meteorite brought out a hidden layer of the characters' personalities. Not surprising that a spell of some sort reveals hidden depths to the characters. And in the case of Devin and Cassidy, it revealed more than just a different side of their personalities. This brought the first signs of a mutual attraction to the surface, which was surprisingly built upon in the rather dramatic conclusion to the Dino Thunder series. Her adventures as a reporter, as well as her friendship with Ethan, helped Cassidy realize her softer side, and made it possible for her to acknowledge her respect and attachment to her best friend. And after getting a few pointers from Conner, the self-proclaimed expert with the ladies, Devin found the courage to ask Cassidy to the prom. It was the one romance that actually felt a sense of resolution on the series.
