Okay, I have something to confess. I didn't like Kelsey and Chad at first. Chad hadn't said but two words during the first month of Lightspeed Rescue, and Kelsey was such a poor actress that it grated on my nerves. However, after "Up to the Challenge" I'm willing to be open minded. Now, I definitely saw a few sparks here. I know Saban has the habit of planting seeds we never see sprout, but that's what fanfiction is for. Chad saved Kelsey's life, and seemed really eager to spend time with her. Kelsey, on the other hand, spent the episode learning from Chad's patience and enthusiasm. They really are opposites: the cool-headed, rational Blue Ranger and the hyperactive, reckless Yellow Ranger. That makes them a clever couple in my opinion. Chad just might be the one to tame Kelsey's wild side. And after the season finale, in which Chad comforted Kelsey as they waited for the Aquabase to collapse, I for one see a bright future for these two.
