Kelly is Dustin's boss at Star Chargers, but it's evident that the two are also good friends. Kelly is surprisingly tolerant of Dustin's recurring disappearances during his shift, usually only rolling her eye or giving an impatient stare when most other employers would serve a pink slip. Plus, it seems that whenever Dustin makes a request with those puppy-dog eyes, Kelly caves. Also, their mutual love of motocross gives them a special connection, as Kelly coached him on the racetrack and Dustin heeded her advice. Dustin's need for Kelly's approval in his decision to switch to stunt riding over racing suggests that her opinion means a great deal to him. There is definitely mutual affection between these two, but could there be something more? That eager hug in "Down and Dirty" was enough to plant the idea in my mind.
