I gotta admit, this pair has such a strong web backing, sometimes I forget they never dated. They are as natural a romantic coupling as Kim and Tommy, but they did not share a single moment that could have been considered romantic. In fact, Trini was always the one to encourage him in his pursuits of other women. On the show they were only close friends, but they had an unique chemistry that was surprisingly strong for two individuals who never were romantically involved. Billy and Trini shared a love for knowledge and a high level of maturity that made them a perfect match. Also, it was obvious from various episodes that they drew strength from each other, and depended on each other. Billy was always the resident genius, but Trini served as his right hand. In addition, on the battlefield, Trini always kept an eye on her good friend, knowing full well his limitations as a warrior. In short, they worked together to balance out each other's weaknesses, and therefore they had tremendous romantic potential. Too bad nothing really came of it.
